Friday, 20th November, 2009
The Club will be hosting an Open Evening on Friday, 20th November, 2009, which any miniaturist with internet access is welcome to attend. Jane Harrop will be holding one of her very popular Workshops, commencing at 7.30 pm UK time.
The subject of the Workshop will be "Musical Interlude" (photograph below). No woodworking skills will be necessary to complete this. The cost of the kit will be £32.00, post free. Payment can be made by £sterling cheque, or by PayPal, in which case a £1.28 surcharge will have to be made. Admission to the Workshop is by purchase of the kit, which is available in either 1/12th scale or 1/24th scale.
Please complete the application form, and either print and post it with your cheque and a self-addressed label or, if paying by PayPal, use the Submit button. Closing date for applications is 1st October, 2009. Once you have paid for your kit, you will be asked to join the Yahoo group which has been set up to facilitate communication between everyone taking part.

In this workshop we shall be making a late nineteenth century piano and stool, a turn of the century gramophone, an Arts & Crafts table, and a non-working lamp. Also included in the kit will be extra sheet music and gramophone records. All of the wooden kits will be pre-cut to size for ease of construction.
The cost of the workshop includes all materials to make up the project, a right-angled gluing jig and postage.
You will need:
Craft knife
Small sharp scissors
Paintbrush
Tacky glue
Wood stain
Acrylic paint
The cost of this project is £32 (plus if paying by paypal, a surcharge fee of £1-28)
